THE EFFECT OF NOISE ANISOTROPY ON DETECTABILITY IN AN OPTIMUM ARRAY PROCESSOR

Abstract

The effect of localized noise sources on the performance of the optimum, i.e., likelihood ratio detector, is investigated. Expressions were obtained for the performance loss of optimum detectors with noise which consists of (1) an isotropic part, and (2) a component from multiple point sources.
