MHU-12/M TRAILER SPECIAL WEAPON TIEDOWN AND MOBILITY TESTS.

Abstract

Tiedown configurations for B28, B43, B57, and B61 weapons on the MHU-12/M Trailer were developed by AFSWC at the request of AFWL. The purpose was to establish standardized tiedown configurations for these weapons on the trailer and to prove acceptability for ground transport by satisfactory performance in road tests. To preclude a potential airlift safety hazard, the developed tiedown configurations were also proved acceptable for air transport by static tests simulating flight inertia loading. Developed tiedown configurations, test results, observations and other pertinent data are presented. (Author)
