STRESS WAVES IN LAYERED ARBITRARY MEDIA SLAM CODE FREE-FIELD STUDY. VOLUME IV. AUXILIARY PROGRAMS.

Abstract

This document contains the description of three auxiliary programs developed for use with SLAM code (Version 3). The first program, the mesh generator, uses a basic geometric description of the problem layout and generates triangular and square elements which best fit the problem area taking into consideration the soil layer locations and areas where detailed information is desired. The second program, the mesh plotter, utilizes information from the mesh generator or a SLAM code data deck to plot on a CALCOMP plotter the basic mesh to be used with SLAM code. The final program is a plot program, called SLAM PLOT, which creates a CALCOMP plot of the output from a SLAM code run. All the above programs are written in FORTRAN IV for the IBM 7094 and utilize standard CALCOMP subroutines.
