HIGH VACUUM BAKEOUT AND SEALING SYSTEM FOR QUARTZ RESONATORS.
Abstract
An oil-free vacuum system for vacuum bakeout, to 400C, and cold weld sealing quartz resonators was designed and fabricated. The system has provisions for future addition of frequency plating fixtures. Three system designs were considered. The accepted design utilizes a six-position rotary table which carries six single-cavity dies. A loaded die can be rotated into any one of the three stations, i.e., bakeout, frequency plating, and cold weld sealing. (Author)
