CHANGES OF THE STRUCTURE AND PROPERTIES OF SOFT CARBON STEELS CYCLICALLY STRESSED UNDER THE FATIGUE LIMIT (ZMENY STRUKTURY A VLASTNOSTI MEKKYCH UHLIKOVYCH OCELI CYKLICKY NAMAHANYCH POD MEZI UNAVY),

Abstract

The article deals with the decrease of the notch impact strength of low carbon steels exposed to cyclic stress under the fatigue limit. The behavior of that steel is compared with that of killed steel which has no such tendency. Two factors seem to be of importance: the purity of the material and the N content. (Author)
