AN IMPROVED DISCRETE-ELEMENT ANALYSIS AND PROGRAM FOR THE LINEAR-ELASTIC STATIC ANALYSIS OF MERIDIONALLY-CURVED, VARIABLE-THICKNESS, BRANCHED THIN SHELLS OF REVOLUTION SUBJECTED TO GENERAL EXTERNAL MECHANICAL AND THERMAL LOADS. PART 2: THE SABOR 4 PROGRAM.

Abstract

Two versions of the SABOR 4 program, the 'piecewise version', and the 'executive version', are included in this report. The former permits examining intermediate results at selected stages of the computation and requires certain inputs to continue each stage of the analysis process. The latter, after a certain pre-processing of data has occurred, accepts this information and other necessary data as input and then proceeds directly through all remaining computational phases before producing the desired final results (displacements, stress resultants, etc.) in printed or plotted form; the executive version of SABOR 4 is described in Appendix B.
