RELIABILITY MATHEMATICAL MODEL FOR DISTANCE MEASURING EQUIPMENT MODIFICATION KIT.

Abstract

The reliability mathematical model of the distance measuring equipment (DME) modification kit consisting of an interrogator adapter plus digital indicator and a transponder adapter. The DME modification kit is used with airborne radio sets AN/ARC-54 and AN/ARC-44 and the ground radio sets AN/PRC-25 and AN/PRC-77 as a navigational aid. The equipment accurately and reliably indicates the slant range between the aircraft and ground equipment. (Author)
