INFECTIOUS DISEASES AND PLASMA PROTEINS

Abstract

The changes in fraction or subfraction of plasma proteins have been observed in various infectious diseases. However, the meaning of these changes has not been well understood yet. In this report, an attempt was made to materialize information both from experience and previous publications. Recent progress in the biochemistry of the antibody, especially of its specificity is described. The discussion is extended to the 'Antibody Deficiency Syndrome' in which the gamma globulin concentration in plasma is abnormally low.
