THE PROBLEM OF DETERMINING THE TOTAL MICROBIAL CONTENT OF AIR

Abstract

The paper discusses the determination of total microbial content of air by means of the modified Cholodny method. The method consists of concentrating the microorganisms, suspended in a liquid, by filtration and washing them. The apparatus, the method of preparation of the aerial suspension, the staining and microscopy are discussed.
