Abstract

Contents: A review is made of the present status of the most important diseases and infections in the Central European area caused by bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa. BACTERIAL ZOOANTHROPONOSES: Salmonella, Pasteurelloses (tularemia), Brucelloses, Erysipeloid, Listeriosis, anthrax, tuberculosis, leptospiroses. VIRUS-CAUSED ZOOANTHROPONOSES: Rickettsioses, ornithosis, lyssa, arboviroses. FUNGUS-CAUSED ANIMAL-HUMAN INFECTIONS: filamentous fungus, yeast fungus. PROTOZOA DISEASES: Toxoplasmoses.
