EFFECT OF MOLD SIZE AND OTHER FACTORS ON LABORATORY CONE INDEX MEASUREMENTS,

Abstract

The report is a brief study to determine the effect of mold size on laboratory cone index measurements. Three fine-grained soils (two silts and one heavy clay) were tested in different size molds. An average curve of minimum mold diameter VS cone index was established. (Author)
