ELECTROFAX SPECIFICATIONS FOR ARMY 5-COLOR MAP REPRODUCING EQUIPMENT.

Abstract

Electrical and optical tests have been devised and carried out on samples of electrophotographic papers and liquid toners supplied by the U. S. Army Engineer Topographic Laboratories. Preliminary correlations between these tests and performance of the materials in the Army Five Color Map Printer have been made. A set of specifications has been written, based on the correlations, which describes the tests selected from those performed and sets limits to the quantities measured in the tests. The limits are proposed as means for defining materials that will perform satisfactorily in the Map Printer. (Author)
