SERVICE TEST OF SURVIVAL KIT, HOT-DRY.

Abstract

The U.S. Army Airborne, Electronics and Special Warfare Board conducted the Service Test of the Survival Kit, Hot-Dry, to determine its suitability for use by Special Warfare personnel in a hot-dry environment. Testing was conducted during the period June - August 1968 at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and at Yuma Proving Ground, Arizona. The kit was used by a 12-man Special Forces 'A' Detachment while operating in a hot-dry environment at Yuma Proving Ground.
