RESEARCH ON NEW TECHNIQUES IN ABSORPTION AND EMISSION SPECTROSCOPY.

Abstract

A summary is given of progress in (1) studies which are being made to assess the feasibility of stimulating infrared emission form organic molecules and using this technique as a means of detection and/or determination of gaseous molecules in the atmosphere; and (2) detection and interpretation of electronic emission from organic compounds using an Rf induced plasma.
