APOLLO BLOCK II SPS ENGINE (AJ10-137) ENVIRONMENTAL TESTS AND MOD 1-C BIPROPELLANT VALVE QUALIFICATION TESTS. PHASE 6. PART 1

Abstract

Simulated altitude testing of the Apollo SPS Block II engine was conducted for the qualification of a new design bipropellant valve (Mod I-C). Also, tests were conducted to investigate postfire propellant evaporative cooling in the engine injector and to evaluate electric strip heaters on the engine propellant lines, bipropellant valve, and injector.
