PROCESSING AND ANALYSIS OF AZUSA MARK II DATA,

Abstract

This document is written to provide a basic reference for the mathematics and to a degree, procedures for reducing and analyzing Azusa Mark II data. An effort has been made to avoid abstruse and unnecessarily complicated mathematics, yet to delineate as clearly as practical the nature and use of each Azusa parameter. The development of the text passes successively from a brief description of the Azusa system geometry to the basic parameters measured, the form of the parameters available for correction, the derivation of mathematics for correcting inherent bias errors, application of correction terms, and methods of computing missile coordinate position and rate data from the azusa data. Also presented are methods of transforming data in the Azusa coordinate system to other coordinate systems. (Author)
