Schottky Barrier X-Band Video Detectors for High-Sensitivity High-Burnout Applications.

Abstract

Silicon Schottky diodes were optimized for use as X-band video detectors. It was found that high sensitivity and high burnout are mutually exclusive, as far as a single diode is concerned. In the final detector system target specification of RF pulse burnout was surpassed by introducing a limiter. The tangential sensitivity of the detector system is -52 to -53 dBm in from 8 to 12.4 GHz. (Author)
