August-October Progress Report for the Combined Laboratory and KC-135 Aircraft Zero-G Test Program.

Abstract

The zero-g program is being conducted to support the Centaur design and development program. The zero-g program includes investigation into four basic areas: (1) Liquid behavior phenomena, including distribution of cryogenic liquids in the tanks, degree of dispersion and settling rates; (2) Heat transfer, including boiling phenomena and effects of surface configuration; (3) Evaluation at zero and one g of Centaur components; and (4) Evaluation of the Centaur instrumentation under zero-g conditions.
