Flight Test Evaluation Report Missile 76D.

Abstract

Missile 76D, the sixth series D all-inertial guidance missile, was launched from complex 11 at 0504 EST on 16 September 1960. Planned range using the closed-loop all-inertial guidance, was 4,387 nautical miles with impact on the edge of the Ascension Island splash net. The primary impact predictor system placed impact 0.9 nautical miles long and 2.7 nautical miles right of the target. The purpose of this report is to present all reduced data and to summarize results achieved from the flight. Missile and ground system analyses are followed by all available reduced data, applicable photographs and sketches, and system schematics and diagrams. (Author)
