Reliability of Automatic Elements and Devices.

Abstract

The influence of various factors on reliability of components and devices is considered. A simple statistical analysis leads to formulae in terms of the characteristic parameters. A table of the values of such parameters for common components is given. The effect of using devices in series and in parallel is discussed. Suggestions are made of possible means of improving reliability. Finally the economic limits for such improvements are determined.
