A Study and Investigation of the Quantification of Personnel in Maintenance.

Abstract

A study design is presented for applications to airmen technicians performing electronic maintenance within the Combat Operations Center (COC), of the North American Air Defense Command (NORAD), within Cheyenne Mountain near Colorado Springs, Colorado. A literature review was conducted and variables indicating some promise of predictive value of quality of electronic maintenance performance were selected for further refinement. A method for the quantification of human maintenance performance in electronic systems is provided. A mathematical plan for the development of human performance figure of merit and determination of degree, and significance of relationship between the variables and the figure of merit is included.
