Review of Recent Developments. Oxidation-Resistant Coatings for Refractory Metals.

Abstract

A manufacturing method for producing chromium-titanium-silicon coatings on large columbium-alloy parts has been developed. The program was accomplished in three principal areas as follows: (1) scale-up of the diffusion pack process, (2) scale-up of the slurry diffusion process, and (3) production proof of the slurry-diffusion process.
