Basic Research on Semiconductors in Navy Laboratories.
Abstract
A review is presented on the basic research program on semiconducting solids carried out in U. S. Navy Laboratories. The period covered extends from the date of inception in approximately 1950 through the early part of 1966. The presentation is intended for a technically oriented audience made up of non-specialists in the field of semiconductor physics. An extensive bibliography of publications describing the Navy's work in this area of research is included. (Author)
