Pre-Production Test Report for Autopilot Servo-Amplifier-Filter, Dwg, No. 27-41000-813.
Abstract
The purpose of the report is to describe the test equipment and procedure required for the pre-production testing of one canister containing the servoamplifier and filter sections of the series E.AIG Autopilot. The canister contains ten amplifiers, each of which has a mixing network at its input. The amplifiers receive the proper error signal from these networks which combine the feedback signals from the position transducers mounted on the engine actuators and the filtered combination of the three integrator outputs and the appropriate pitch, yaw, and roll signals from the gyro section. These signals are all suppressed carrier modulated (400 cps). The servoamplifiers amplify these signals and demodulate them by means of a phase sensitive detector. The output of each amplifier is DC, the polarity of which is determined by the phase of the input with respect to a common constant 400 cps reference voltage. (Author)
