Evaluation of Low Beam Current Characteristics of Sperry SOC-86A Klystron Oscillators.

Abstract

Recent requirements for a better klystron oscillator for missile transponder use has required laboratory experiment and study to determine the performance characteristics of these klystrons and hence their suitability for this application. This investigation has determined the performance under conditions of low beam current. The power output, frequency beam voltage, beam current, bias voltage and efficiency have been measured and recorded. (Author)
