A Theory of Interfacial Tension of Two-Phase Ternary Liquid Systems.

Abstract

A theoretical equation has been derived which describes the interfacial tension and stability of a two-phase ternary liquid system in terms of its components' concentrations and physical properties. The resulting linear relationship is readily applied to experimental data. The equation has been successfully tested with existing experimental data and has been used to determine interfacial region structure. (Author)
