Model Didactic Digital Machine STS-3,

Abstract

The STS-3 relay computer model, designed at the Department of Digital Computer Construction, is an experimental training aid for teaching digital computer operation and algorithm use. It was built from electric components (relays, selectors) as a microprogramming unit. Its operational speed is low to make observation of the information flow possible. The machine can be stopped and restarted any time during complex operations.
