Strength Summary Ground Handling Equipment, SM-65D I.O.C.,

Abstract

Critical margins of safety of seven major items of SM-65D ground handling equipment are given in this report: Erection boom; Erection mechanism; Missile trailer; Booster trailer; Missile-to-launcher aligning equipment; Launcher supports; and Engine gimbaling trailer supports. All detail parts having a margin of safety of less than 15% are listed. Parts are grouped primarily according to the major structural item to which they belong and are sub-grouped according to their critical load condition. (Author)
