Tests of Pyrotechnic Seeding Materials in Project Cold Cowl,

Abstract

During the winter of 1967, Air Weather Service, USAF, conducted Project Cold Cowl at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Alaska. This project had two goals: (1) Seeding supercooled fog and stratus to improve flying conditions at Elmendorf; (2) Testing seeding agents and methods to find better techniques. (Author)
