Technical Minimum Course on Peanut-Growing. Application of the Technical Minimum Principle to Peanut-Growing

Abstract

For their best growth, peanuts require light soils with good drainage and with a pH above 6. In soils with a pH lower than this, that is, more acid soils, the pH will have to be adjusted by means of liming, which will be done, when necessary, prior to planting. Because of the above-mentioned conditions, in selecting the soil for this crop it is necessary to take into account each one of the conditions, since the absence of one of them would be detrimental to the production of the crop.
