Histoplasmosis

Abstract

The role of fungi - of potential pathogenetic factors commonly found in nature - has been, until now, underestimated. A good example illustrating the latter is histoplasmosis. At first it was considered to be a rare disease. Today, it proves to be an epidemiological disease, affecting millions of people.
