Rice Blast Epidemic of 1960 (In France)

Abstract

In 1960, the climatic conditions were entirely different from those that prevailed in 1959. Rice infection by Piricularia oryzae Cav., a mold that is extremely sensitive to climatic conditions. Many observations on the response of rice varieties to the disease (piriculariosis or rice blast) were made.
