Abstract
The volume contains a summary of the bathymetry in Area XVII. This area is a deep water region encompassing the northern portion of the Philippine Sea. The ocean bottom is subdivided into physiographic provinces which best differentiate regions of dissimilar geologic characteristics. (Author)
