Review of Recent Developments. Titanium and Titanium Alloys,

Abstract

The development of titanium alloys for specific service conditions has continued to be of major concern in titanium research. Typical alloy types being developed include improved 'near-alpha' alloys principally for application in engines and beta alloys for a variety of applications. This review attempts to summarize developments in these alloy types in terms of properties effects and presents considerable preliminary data on relatively new alloy candidates. (Author)
