Development of Hybrid Computer Programs for AAFSS/COBRA/COIN Weapons Effectiveness Studies. Volume 3. Documentation of Digital Computer Programs for Computation of Aircraft Weapon System Lethality.

Abstract

Special purpose FORTRAN programs are described. These programs are used to extract data from aircraft airframe and ballistic simulations which are then used to determine the lethality of the aircraft weapon system. Data prepared by these programs are stored on magnetic tape for use in a Monte Carlo simulation of a tactical engagement between air and ground forces. The data stored on magnetic tape gives aircraft state variables as a discrete function of time along a previously determined flight path. Weapon system characteristics are described in terms of single round kill probabilities and descriptions of the burst pattern. Data sampling and editing features are also available. (Author)
