Development of a Hybrid Computer Program for Simulation of the OV-10A (COIN).

Abstract

The equations of motion used for simulation of a fixed wing vehicle are developed and then applied specifically to the North American OV-10A (COIN). The hybrid simulation allows the pilot a full six degree of freedom in the airframe, allows him to fire ordnance, the trajectory of which is simulated, on the analog computer, down to impact. Mission profile can be saved on digital magnetic tape and weapon effectiveness evaluated. (Author)
