Contribution to the Theory of an Ideal Elastic-Plastic Body,

Abstract

The Prandt-Reuss flow law on the theory of ideal plastic bodies is generally given with the use of the stress deviator. In the theory of elasticity we are accustomed in working directly with stresses. For this reason, therefore, stresses are introduced in the Prandtl-Reuss equation. Accordingly, the stress speeds are expressed by the stress and distortion speeds. Two examples are treated in which the closed integration of the equations was successful. (Author)
