Transformation of the MI-13-5 Mass Spectrometer,
Abstract
The paper describes new equipment for the introduction of specimens into the MI-1305 Mass Spectrometer and the transformations made to make possible a reduction of the background of the mass spectrum. It also describes a new scheme of stabilization of the ionization current and replacement of magnetostatic focusing of the electron beam by electrostatic focusing. (Author)
