Over-the-Horizon Radar Systems Models and Methodologies.
Abstract
This report describes the major system considerations pertinent to the evaluation of over-the-horizon radar (OHR) systems that propagate via the ionospheric wave mode. It will serve as a useful guide and reference for systems and operations analysts when models and methodologies are needed for an initial assessment and/or general comparative analyses of OHR systems. Throughout the report both qualitative and quantitative appraisals are made of various aspects of the system directly affecting its operational ability. Extensive references have been cited. (Author)
