Image Interpretation Center AN/MSQ-68 (Mission Review Module).

Abstract

The effort resulted in the delivery of a prototype Mission Review Module (MRM). The formal nomenclature for the MRM is Image Interpretation Center AN/MSQ-68. The MRM is intended to provide improved image interpretation capability as an element of the Mobile Wing Reconnaissance Technical Squadron (MWRTS). The improved capability of the MRM resulted from design and development of multichannel film viewing and high precision mensuration equipment. This equipment consists of a primary channel viewer, two secondary channel viewers, a primary channel projector, two tactical target record viewers, a photo-reproduction unit, a query-response control console computer link, and an auxiliary viewing channel. Each channel viewer is outfitted with high-power microscopes and precision mensuration aids. All equipment is housed in a transportable shelter which provides a complete viewing station for two photo-interpreters. The module permits efficient photo-interpretation from 70 mm, 5-inch, and 9-1/2 inch wide multisensor reconnaissance films at a single work station. (Author)
