Experimental Design for Control of the Hydrazine--Oxygen Fuel Cell.

Abstract

The control of output voltage of an experimental hydrazine-oxygen fuel cell is investigated. A mixture of nitrogen and oxygen is introduced into the cathode cavity, and the percentage of oxygen is varied to control the output voltage. After dynamic testing, a typical response is defined, and a feedback control system designed to improve transient response. The control scheme is evaluated using a digital computer to simulate the simplified plant model and the controller. (Author)
