System Effectiveness Demonstration and Validation Techniques.

Abstract

This report describes alternative methodologies applicable to the determination of confidence limits on system effectiveness as defined by the WSEIAC (Weapon System Effectiveness Industry Advisory Committee) model, results of research on selected high potential methodologies, and an evaluation of these methodologies relative to three test systems, namely, an ICBM squadron, the Titan II Weapon System, and an Infrared Search and Track System employed in Air Defense Command interceptors. Procedures for the construction of tables and curves for the specification of test designs and the interpretation of test results are presented, together with specific examples. (Author)
