Data Management System DM-1.

Abstract

Data Manager DM-1 is a random access file oriented, information storage and retrieval system. The major design objective of the system is that it be capable of serving a multitude of data users who have no knowledge of ho1 the data is handled. Since the system provides its users with a generalized retrieval mechanism, it allows ready access to data anywhere in the data base and by accepting new hardware, languages, and functions the system can expand to meet the increasing demands of its users.
