Some Comments on the Structure of Stereomap Plotting Instruments,

Abstract

The report discusses questions relating to the classification of stereo evaluation instruments in general, developments during the last 50 years concerning the structural design of these instruments are analyzed. The projection systems in modern stereomap plotting instruments are thoroughly investigated, according to the following classifications: optical projection, optical-mechanical projection, mechanical projection and stereomap plotting instruments without geometrical model reproduction. The two last paragraphs deal with new structural components in photogrammetric evaluation instruments, such as function generators, ball screws, servo control, photoconductors, photogrammetric computer automats, and report on development trends evident in the construction of stereomap plotting instruments.
