Analysis of Soil Indentation by a Translating Grouser Plate

Abstract

In this report soil is idealized as a weightless isotropic frictional material with cohesion. Quasi-static solutions are obtained to the two- dimensional problems of indentation by a plate with a single spud and an infinitely long plate with equally spaced spuds of uniform depth.
