Life Test Program for X-Band 35 Watt Traveling-Wave Tube Satellite Amplifier.

Abstract

Ten amplifiers were prepared for life test. One amplifier failed during the initial 1000 hour burn-in period leaving nine amplifiers in the actual life test program. These amplifiers were operated for a period of approximately one year in a space simulated environment. Upon completion of the life test period the amplifiers were tested and their operating characteristics compared to the original data. The results of these tests showed almost no change, outside the measurement accuracies, in performance. (Author)
