Some Aspects of the Further Development of the Semiconductor Area,

Abstract

The article points out some problems which may considerably influence the future development of the art in the field of semiconductors. These are notably the influence of the present electronic component parts, the influence of the requirements to enhance the reliability of electronic equipment, the influence of minaturization and the influence of possibly discovering totally new circuit elements. In the following part the author points out the probable part of semiconductor devices in the technique of extremely miniaturized circuits and in circuits with distributed parameters is pointed out.
