A Morphological Study of Slopes in the Crystalline Appalachians of North Carolina.

Abstract

The report presents the study of several slopes in the crystalline Appalachians of North Carolina, undertaken with the aims of verifying the valididy of previously designed theoretical models of slope development by observation in the field, and of collecting a basic set of observations that can later be compared with similar observations in other environments. Data used include surveys of the slope profiles seismic measurements of waste cover thickness and data derived from the analysis of waste samples. (Author)
