Control Wheel Consoles for Control-Display Model Selection Switching.

Abstract

This report describes work accomplished to date on the use of control wheel consoles for the mounting of flight director and autopilot mode selection switches. Three console-switching configurations were developed and flight tested. The preliminary results of the testing indicate that the location of switches on the consoles will be particularly useful to the pilot in accomplishing the instrument landing. (Author)
