Solid Phase Reactions in Solid Propellant Ignition and Combustion.

Abstract

This final report summarizes work in the following areas: (1) Applications of tandem strand burner - mass spectrometer technique; (2) Development and applications of tandem strans burner - IR-UV-visible spectrometer technique; (3) Development and application of multiple internal reflectance spectroscopy to the study of surface reactions; (4) A mechanism proposed to explain the activity of catalysts in composite propellants.
